Government sets 5 GW off-shore wind power target by 2022



For the short term the Ministry has set a target of 5 GW by 2022. For long-term the ministry has declared a target of 30 GW by 2030. In October 2015 the Ministry has notified National Off-Shore Wind Policy to realise the offshore wind potential in the country.
